Have clogs - will travel

Although well known in our local area, we are aware that we don't have many contacts iwth the wider morris community, though we regularly meet our friends Black Sheep from Barnard Castle, Carlisle Clog & Sword, and Westmorland Step & Garland from Kendal. We are keen to extend our range and are happy to travel.

We participate in some folk events, for example, the Joint Morris Organisation event in Sheffield, Morris Federation and other sides' days of dance at Otley and Shrewsbury, the Furness Tradition Festival at Ulverston and the folk festival at Tredegar House, Wales.

The Morris Federation AGM day is a pleasant chance to meet up with other sides and Belfagan took great pleasure in organising the 2014 AGM to further this aim. We invited sides to our mountain fastness to enjoy a weekend at Keswick, by the lake and in the town. We really enjoyed  meeting so many other sides, who, going by the number of favourable comments, had a super weekend surrounded by our mountains and lakes.

We are also hoping to be invited to dance and share our pleasure with others at festivals in Britain or abroad. Please contact our secretary Jan Dickins on 016973 21375 or by email at jandickins230@gmail.com.
